Wilier Triestina Zero.6. 200 made, 680g carbon frame with copper highlights, €10.000.

To be fair, it comes with a >€1.000 Montegrappa pen.

Anyway, I bought a Wilier as well, be it quite a bit cheaper:

GTR Team, carbon frame, Shimano 105 group. It should be here in a couple of weeks, can’t wait!

I’ve done a lot of mountainbiking before, but it’s the first time I’m moving to road bikes, so I guess I’ll have quite a bit to learn. Heard lots of good about the new 105, and it should prove more wallet-friendly in long term maintenance/replacement than the Ultegra.

Absolutely it will. My CX bike is still 105 for that reason. I'm in the same boat as you though, a lot more trail than road but expanding the horizon in recent years.

That’s a pretty sweet bike. I would probably crunch that 680 gram frame though. The one you got looks more beefy. I’m still on a Cannondale CAAD9 from 2008 with a SRAM Force grupo. It’s solid. Not a carbon frame ride but it’s stout and handles really well.

A Scott I got second hand. Carbon frame, 105 group, a little big for me, to be honest. Too good a deal to pass up though. Mtb bike is a very low end Felt, with a marzocchi front shock and SRAM stuff.

I wonder what the max rider weight is, since in general frame material isn’t that big of a deal, but when you’re going to the lower limits, it might indeed become sketchy if you’re not a flyweight mountain climber.

How’s the SRAM treating you? They’ve all but disappeared from the market here, with Shimano being the de facto choice and Campa for the mechanically inclined masochists.

The SRAM is fantastic I replace my cables and housing every year so the shifting has stayed smooth and precise. Last year I replaced my rear derailure because the pivot bolt was completely worn out. I see a similar trend in the states that OEM are not using SRAM much anymore, Shimano is pretty much dominating the market SRAM mountain bike groups are becoming much more popular but I suspect that many more road bikes are sold than mountain bikes. SRAM also owns Avid, Rockshox, and Zipp.
